Upon arrival at Dimapur Airport, meet our representative and proceed towards Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. En route, witness local women selling organic vegetables, fruits, and indigenous products. Upon reaching Kohima, check in to the pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay in Kohima.
After breakfast, visit the World War II Cemetery, a solemn memorial dedicated to the soldiers who laid down their lives during the war. Later, proceed to Kisama Heritage Village to witness the vibrant Hornbill Festival. Enjoy folk songs, traditional dances, and colourful attire showcasing the diverse Naga culture. Explore local stalls for souvenirs and sample traditional Naga cuisine for lunch. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Kohima.
Post breakfast, return to Kisama Heritage Village to gain deeper insights into Naga traditions and customs. Experience the festival's cultural vibrancy, including tribal performances, crafts, and traditional sports. In the evening, participate in Kohima’s night carnival, where the streets come alive with food stalls, Christmas decorations, and an array of local handicrafts. After an engaging day, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Kohima.
After breakfast, drive to Khonoma, known as India's first green village. Explore landmarks such as the ceremonial gates, Morung, cairn circles, historical forts, and age-group houses. Engage with local craftsmen, observe shawl weaving, and witness the intricate art of cane basketry. Enjoy a traditional Naga lunch and experience indigenous games presented by the local youth. End the day with a taste of locally brewed beverages. Dinner and overnight stay at a homestay in Khonoma.
Early morning, transfer to Dzukou Valley. Begin the trek from Viswema, the last motorable point. The trek takes approximately 3–5 hours, starting with a steep climb followed by a scenic mountain trail. Upon arrival at the camping site, pitch tents and relax with hot tea and snacks. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch before exploring the breathtaking valley during sunset. After dinner, stay overnight in tents under the starlit sky.
Wake up to the serene beauty of Dzukou Valley and enjoy a hot cup of tea. After breakfast, explore the valley further before trekking back to Viswema. Upon reaching, transfer back to Kohima with a lunch stop at Viswema village. Check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Kohima.
After breakfast, drive to Dimapur Airport for your onward journey. Depart with beautiful memories of Nagaland and its rich cultural heritage.
